Python Job: Regular Automation Engineer

Project Description

This is an ADAS project from a tier 1 international automotive company. We as Luxoft do collaborate with the customer in the algorithm testing of the several different features from our device under tests such as Vision algorithms and Localization.

The test team is in charge of the development, automation, and execution of the test framework which is fully developed in Python. All requirements are provided directly from the client, therefore proactivity, good communication skills, and customer orientation are key qualities to look for in the ideal candidate.

The Engineer will work in a friendly and cooperative team environment. Given that this is a test engineer position, test theory knowledge (I.e. ISTQB) is also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Test automation development of test cases and features in Python
• Test case and suites execution (manually and automatically)
• Responsible for their own code development, quality and merge into the project master branch (GIT)
• Raising and follow up of found defects during execution with the customer
• Documentation of test cases in test rail and confluence
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Daily attendance to stand-up meetings where progress and/or blockers are discussed.

Skills

Must have

• Bachelor diploma in computer science (or related)
• Proficiency in Python is a must. (At least 4 years of proven experience)
• The candidate must be familiar with Linux and Shell
• Comfortable with the usage of Git and Gitflow (At least 2 years of proven experience)
• Testing theory knowledge is preferred
• Good understanding of the automotive industry communication protocols (CAN & LIN)
• The candidate must be familiar with the testing process in the automotive industry
• English fluent both written and spoken

Nice to have

• At least worked on a project from the Automotive Industry
• Experience executing tests suites and reporting results using Jenkins
• Knowledge in QNX
• Knowledge in TestRail or any other test specification management tool
• Knowledge of Test Techniques and ISTQB
